Our Programs

Diaper Basic Needs Program
The diaper and basic needs distribution program is an ongoing initiative
that provides scheduled, bi-monthly support to eligible families.
Clients receive a double allotment every other month to ensure
consistent coverage and reduce transportation barriers. Distribution
quantities are tailored to age and developmental needs:
Eligibility is limited to families enrolled in government assistance
programs such as WIC, SNAP, TANF, CareSource, or other Medicaid-based
insurance. Clients must complete an application and adhere to program
guidelines to remain enrolled. Children may receive support until age
3½, or up to age 5 if developmental delays are present.
This structured, equitable distribution model ensures that families
receive consistent, age-appropriate support while maintaining
accountability and program integrity.

UnderCare Program:
Gem City Diaper Bank’s UnderCare Program serves as a valuable extension of our
core services, supporting families beyond the diapering stage. Once a child has
reached the program’s age limit or is fully potty trained, parents may participate in
volunteer opportunities to earn points toward receiving essential items for their
child—specifically, one pack of underpants and one pack of socks. Families are eligible
to volunteer up to twice per calendar year, and the child receiving these items must be
12 years of age or younger.
